Trying to find the best 2-in-1 laptop can be difficult. Often a compromise has to be reached between having a portable and adaptable piece of technology, and processing & computing power. As the technology develops, it is hoped that the processing power and the memory storage will improve for these 2-in-1 laptops. But, if you’re looking for a 2-in-1 laptop just now, here are the devices we recommend.
Best 2-in-1 Laptop Guide
Samsung Notebook 9 Pro
The Samsung Notebook 9 Pro is often compared to the mighty 15-inch MacBook Pro. But, there is no competition when it comes to value for money, as the Samsung Notebook 9 Pro is substantially cheaper than its bigger MacBook Pro rival. We feel that the Notebook 9 Pro is as good as Microsoft’s Surface Book. It has the added benefit compared to the Surface Book in that you don’t need to recharge the stylus. One thing that we didn’t like was the inconsistent battery life. Sometimes the charge never seemed to decrease, even after a couple of hours of use, then other times it drained really quickly.
Google Pixel Book
Google’s new Pixelbook is our surprise package! It uses Google’s love/hate Chromebook platform, and really takes this OS to the next level, making it compete with Apple and Microsoft. How has it been able to do this? Well, it has managed to add arsenal in terms of computing power, and they have made it compatible with Android apps, which was a good decision on their part. This means that there is no barrier to entry for Mac and Windows users to using Chromebook. We especially like the vibrant and responsive display of the Pixelbook, which far surpasses the Surface in our view.
Asus Chromebook Flip C302
You might be tempted by the Pixelbook, but for many it will be way over your budget. A good alternative is the Asus Chromebook Flip C302. Asus was one of the first to integrate the touchscreen with the convertible technology for Chrome OS. Like the Pixelbook, it has now opened up to Android apps, which certainly widens its appeal. The tablet model of the Asus Chromebook is excellent, and the display offers a truly fantastic experience. One thing we didn’t like was the middling speakers.
HP Spectre x360
Last up, we have the HP Spectre x360.
HP have really pulled a rabbit out the hat with their Spectre 2-in-1. We love the overhauled keyboard and cutting edge new logo, so it is little wonder how many believe that the HP Spectre x360 is able to hold its own against Apple. The battery life of the HP Spectre x360 is fantastic, as it is reported that users are able to achieve over eight hours of continued use. An interesting additional feature to note is that the HP Spectre x360 can now be configured with a 4K screen.
