So, what gaming monitor brands are the best? What features should you be looking out for? Here are our top tips.
What is the Best Portable Gaming Monitor?
This rather complex name reflects the complexity that has gone into the technology for this product. It is one of the latest monitors to hit the shelfs and is causing quite a stir in the process. It comes with a 1920×1080 IPS panel. In terms of weight, it is quite light. We weighed the device and it tipped the scales at 800g. So less than a 1kg, which is what you should be aiming for.
The images produced by the Asus monitor are of truly excellent quality. They are bright and clear. Obviously, a stand alone monitor is going to be more vibrant, but the Asus certainly does the job. The DisplayPort compatibility is a feature that is able to set it apart from the competition.
The MB169C+ is well protected by the protective flap case that it comes fitted with. It is similar to what you see on a conventional tablet. This is a useful cover as it keeps your monitor safe when not in use and it can also be used as a stand for when you need to prop the monitor up. For those on a budget, this is a great portable monitor, and one which you should be considering.
AOC E1659Fwux Pro
The AOC E1659F is maybe not the most well known portable gaming monitor, but it is truly excellent value for the price that it is currently for sale for. We were impressed by the 1920 x 1080 resolution, which offers an excellent quality image. The contrast is maybe not as good as a normal stand alone monitor, but like the Asus, it is acceptable and you will not notice this too much.
Compared to other models in the price bracket, it offers one of the brightest displays. If you intend to use the monitor a lot in the dark, then you should be considering this monitor. It is protected well with a black frame, which protects it from any bumps that it may receive during its use.
This could be considered an excellent starter monitor for those who don’t want to shell out for a more established and expensive model. Customers have praised the AOC because it is so easy to use, and for around $150, it won’t hit your wallet to hard. If you have any views on whether the AOC is the best portable gaming monitor, please let us know.
